Description
Who needs a sibling test?
A sibling test is a closer relationship test. Through this test we check whether two people are full siblings, half siblings (common parent) or unrelated.
The test can also provide information about the possible father. There are situations in which samples can no longer be taken from a potential father, but can be taken from his biological children. If a potential father has children with, for example, two different women, it is possible to conduct a sibling test among those children to determine whether they share a common father.

Kinship between brothers test:
Males have one X chromosome and one Y chromosome. The Y chromosome determines the male sex in humans and is inherited from father to son. The sibling test examines the Y chromosome, which is passed only to male offspring from the father. It is also possible to check whether two alleged siblings have the same mother by testing the X chromosome.
Sister relationship test:
The sister relationship test checks whether two women have the same father. To do this, the potential father has to pass his X chromosome to both daughters.
How to take samples yourself
Open the envelope labeled "Sample collection kit". NOTE: If you notice that the seal is damaged, do not use swabs for tests. In this situation, please contact us - we shall send a new set at no extra charge.
- Describe the envelope with samples.
- Enclose double-sided copies of identity documents. Photos must be clear.
- Each participant receives a sealed envelope containing swabs.
Sampling of test participants is done sequentially, through the following steps:
- Take a swab for sampling. Avoid touching the cotton part.
- Apply the swab to the inside of the cheek and gently rotate it for 20-30 seconds to collect enough genetic material.
- Repeat the process with the other swab on the opposite side of the mouth.
Immediately after collecting the sample, pack the two used swabs into the labeled sample envelope. The swabs do not need to be dried.
Return shipment to our laboratory
Please place all items in the return envelope:
- fully completed and signed forms,
- copies of identity cards,
- described and sealed sample envelopes.
Make sure everything is properly prepared and send the envelope to us.
We send the result of the DNA analysis to the e-mail addresses given in the form to test participants.
